Joint project with Shell (2003-2004)
Within the contract and collaborative work with the oil-producing SHELL company, the cycle of research related to different electrophysical ways of deep obstruction removal and oil-well extraction was conducted. The experimental study of dynamic strength and crack resistance of petroliferous rocks was performed.
In laboratory conditions, the structure-temporal parameters were obtained for different types of rocks, such as granite, gabbro-diabase, marble, limestone, and others. For different rock materials found in flow medium, the effects of interface fracture, initiated by powerful electric discharge, were studied.
